Ectopic pregnancy occurs when the embryo adheres to a place other than the uterus. The most common site is the Fallopian tube, yet it can implant to the ovary or cervix, too.
Ectopic pregnancies occur in 1 to 3% of IVF cycles, and is one of the most concerning risks.
