The levels of the hCG hormone keep on rising from the moment of implantation to up to week 12-14. At this point, it usually levels off.
Too elevated hCG levels, say around 600 mIU/ml, during the first weeks of pregnancy may indicate that you are pregnant with multiples. In any case, the only way we can make sure whether this is your case is by ultrasound scan, which will allow the GYN/OB to see the actual number of gestational sacs and fetuses.
