Throughout pregnancy it is important to maintain a balanced and healthy diet. Adequate hydration is also essential. Drinking plenty of water can help reduce fluid retention, which in turn may reduce swelling in the feet.

Pregnancy-appropriate physical activity, such as regular walking, can improve blood circulation. If the pregnant woman experiences urine leakage, it may be beneficial to start practising Kegel exercises to strengthen the muscles.

Other tips for the 28th week of pregnancy include the use of moisturising creams to prevent stretch marks in the tummy area or taking relaxing herbal teas to help with insomnia.
