What can pregnant women notice in the 33rd week of pregnancy?

In the 33rd week of pregnancy, it is quite common for women to experience back pain, especially in the lower back. However, this pain may spread to the buttocks, thigh and leg. The reason for this is that the sciatic nerve may be squeezed by the change in the curvature of the pregnant woman's back.

On the other hand, it is also common to have some fatigue or breathing difficulties, as well as an increase in the frequency of urination, due to the size that the uterus has already reached.

In addition, other possible symptoms that a woman may notice in the 33rd week of gestation are as follows:

  • Dryness and itching of the skin of the abdomen.
  • Heartburn and reflux.
  • Constipation.
  • Swelling, cramps and varicose veins in the legs.
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Increased breast volume.
  • Possible discharge of colostrum.
  • Braxton Hicks contractions.

All of this can contribute to a woman's difficulty sleeping and resting at night.
