During the eighth month of pregnancy, the third trimester ultrasound is performed to assess the growth of the foetus and its position. In addition, the amount of amniotic fluid is measured and the condition of the placenta is analysed.
Another medical test performed in the eighth month of pregnancy is a blood and urine analysis. The specialist may also advise the pregnant woman to be vaccinated against certain diseases if she has not already done so.
