A one-sided varicocele occurs when the spermatic cord of both testicles is swollen. On the contrary, in varicocele on both sides, we only observe dilatation of the veins in one of the two testicles.
Unilateral varicocele is most common. It is important to note that even if the swelling only appears on one side, both testicles can be affected.
