One of the advantages of IVF is the possibility of vitrification of surplus embryos for future attempts, i.e. in case the first embryo transfer is unsuccessful or if a second child is desired in the future. This makes it possible to optimize IVF cycles to the maximum and to avoid the patient having to go through the entire ovarian stimulation treatment again.
