Seminal plasma allergy is an immune reaction that develops against the components of semen, especially against prostate-specific antigen or PSA. It is a rare condition and, therefore, its prevalence is unknown.
Women who have other allergies, asthma or allergic rhinitis are more likely to have semen allergy. However, not all of them will develop it. Some of the risk factors for semen allergy are not having sex for a long time, menopause, IUD use, etc.
