Amenorrhea or absence of menstruation is a disorder of the female cycle. This alteration can be primary or secondary when a woman has not been menstruating for more than three months.
When a woman reaches the menopausal stage and does not have periods, it does not mean that she has amenorrhea. This alteration only occurs during the reproductive age. In addition, periods of stress, dietary changes, etc. can cause the absence of menstruation.
