A semen analysis (SA) is the diagnostic test used to evaluate the percentage of spermatozoa with progressive and non-progressive motility, as well as the amount of immotile spermatozoa. It is performed by studying a small amount of semen under a microscope.
This allows us to diagnose if the man presents with astenozoospermia, that is to say a defect in the motility of the sperm.
