Carrying has many benefits for the baby, but it is also beneficial for the carrier. Among the benefits we can mention for the person who carries are:
- It promotes freedom of movement.
- It promotes greater bonding and secure attachment.
- It helps to recognise what the baby wants and to attend to their needs at the slightest sign.
- It reduces postpartum depression.
In addition, babywearing can help the carrier's back muscles if it is done ergonomically and with an approved baby carrier.
