When spotting or bleeding occurs in pregnancy, women often worry and wonder if it is normal or suggestive of something wrong. However, it is important to distinguish between the two.
Spotting is a few drops of blood that occasionally appear on a woman's pad or underwear. Bleeding, on the other hand, may last longer and occur in larger quantities, so it does soak through the pad.
