Bleeding that occurs during the second or third trimester of pregnancy can be caused by various reasons. Among them, we can mention the following:
- Cervical insufficiency.
- Placenta praevia.
- Placental abruption.
- Premature labor with bleeding.
On the other hand, a bloody or brownish or pinkish discharge towards the end of pregnancy may be due to the loss of the mucous plug.
