Fetal causes that lead to a cesarean birth are those that could endanger the life of the baby or the mother if the delivery were to take place through vaginal delivery.
Some of these indications are the following:
- The baby is in a breech position at the time of delivery
- Placenta previa or placental abruption
- The baby comes with the umbilical cord wrapped around the neck
