Blood cholesterol levels are increased during pregnancy, especially once the second trimester of pregnancy begins. Therefore, to prevent cholesterol from rising to too high values, it is recommended that the pregnant woman:
- Control diet and avoid saturated fats.
- Do exercise adapted to pregnancy.
In this way, you will be able to maintain controlled cholesterol levels, since some treatments such as statins are contraindicated in pregnancy.
