It is essential that diabetic women who wish to become mothers follow all medical indications to avoid dangers to their health and that of their future baby.
If this is not the case and diabetes is not controlled, diabetic women who become pregnant may suffer:
- High blood pressure.
- Decrease in blood glucose levels, i.e. hypoglycaemia.
- Organ disturbances.
