A young woman without fertility problems has only a 25% chance of getting pregnant in each menstrual cycle. Because of this, although it is possible, it is neither frequent nor easy to get pregnant on the first attempt.
Moreover, this chance of becoming pregnant decreases as a woman's age increases, and is only 3% in women over 38 years of age.
