Couples planning to conceive often schedule daily intercourse on days close to ovulation. However, such short ejaculatory abstinence may be counterproductive to pregnancy, as would be too long abstinence.
As a recommendation, it would be better to spread intercourse over alternate days during the ovulatory period and not to make it an obligation.
