Infertility is often associated with the woman, as it is she who is unable to become pregnant. However, the male is also involved in the process of trying to get pregnant. Therefore, problems associated with the male may also be the reason for the couple's failure to achieve pregnancy.
Female factor infertility accounts for 30-35% of cases, as does male factor infertility. On the other hand, there are also 20-30% of cases in which the causes are mixed and involve both partners and 10% in which the causes are not determined.
