In Cyprus, both egg and sperm donors must be young and healthy persons, entitled to their full legal capacity.
It should be clear that gamete donation should be based upon anonymity and altruism. Nonetheless, donors can receive an economic compensation for the time they have spent off work and the travel expenses derived from the process.
