An ectopic and multiple pregnancy, that is, a pregnancy outside the uterine cavity and with more than one embryo, is quite rare. However, it is a situation that can happen. In addition, this type of pregnancy can be:
- Unilateral: in the same fallopian tube.
- Bilateral: both fallopian tubes are affected.
On the other hand, heterotopic pregnancy is also possible, in which one embryo implants in the uterus and another embryo outside it.
