Vitrification is a cryopreservation method that allows the oocytes obtained from a patient to be preserved for later use, thus making it possible to preserve female fertility.
For this purpose, cryoprotective substances are used to prevent the oocytes from being damaged in the process, since they will be preserved in liquid nitrogen at -196ºC.
