Endometriosis is a uterine condition characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus.
Some risk factors for this pathology are the presence of the first menstruation at an early age, short menstrual cycles, heavy bleeding or after certain surgeries.
However, the presence of any of these factors does not necessarily mean that endometriosis will develop.
