Epididymal sperm aspiration is a procedure that allows men who do not produce sperm in their ejaculate to become fathers, even though their testicles do produce sperm.
Therefore, the main indications of this technique are:
- Patients with obstructive azoospermia, due to obstructions in the sperm outflow ducts or absence of vas deferens
- Men who want to have children after a vasectomy
Epididymal sperm aspiration will make it possible to obtain motile sperm from the epididymis for use in assisted reproductive technologies.
