Although epidimitis usually occurs in males between 18 and 35 years of age, it may also occur in another age group. Therefore, some risk factors for inflammation of the epididymis are as follows:
- active sexual life with different partners.
- no use of condoms.
- Not being circumcised.
- Presence of urethral catheter.
However, there are other factors that increase the risk of epididymitis. This is the case of men with recent surgery on the urinary tract, prostate alterations, etc.
