Are there any changes needed in the woman's treatment when using donor sperm?

By Andrea Rodrigo B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 10/17/2022

No, the hormonal treatment of ovarian stimulation and the egg retrieval do not differ when performing IVF with partner or donor sperm. The process only changes if donated eggs are used instead of the woman's own eggs.
With respect to treatment with donor sperm, everything relative to the woman (future mother) is the same.
