Cervical flow, also known as cervical mucus, is a component of the vaginal discharge. Its consistency varies with the stage of the woman´s menstrual cycle, being lighter during the phase of ovulation to facilitate the passage of sperm. If the cervical musuc is too dense, the sperm cannot cross is and will not find their way to the egg.
In addition, cervical flow also plays a role in protecting the spermatazoa from the vaginal environment.
