There are several main reasons why women are delaying the age of motherhood today. Firstly, entry into the world of work and the fact that they are getting a stable job later and later.
On the other hand, women who spend several years of their youth studying for a degree, a competitive examination or a doctorate are also obliged to delay motherhood.
Finally, today's society's concept that 30 is the new 20 and 40 is the new 30 means that there is an asynchrony between the biological age for having a child and the age at which one wishes to become a mother.
