Using donor sperm turns out to be totally necessary for single women and lesbian couples desiring to be on motherhood. However, it may be as well the only choice for heterosexual and gay couples presenting poor-quality sperm. Usually, sperm donation is used for artificial insemination, but it can also be used in IVF cycles.
