Ultrasound is a test that allows images to be obtained through the emission of ultrasound by the ultrasound machine. This diagnostic test can be performed vaginally or transabdominally.
Normally, in the first weeks of pregnancy, most specialists opt for transvaginal ultrasound. However, as the pregnancy progresses, the usual tendency is to perform gestational ultrasounds through the abdomen.
