What does fetus mean?

Fetus is the name given to the embryo once it has reached 10 weeks gestation and until the time of delivery, when it will become a newborn or baby.

By 10 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus has all its basic organs and systems formed, and its body has already taken on a more human appearance.
