It is necessary to check the existence of ovarian function before making a diagnosis and recommending the assisted reproduction technique. The basal hormone analysis is a blood test for a specific day of the cycle in which the hormones related to ovulation, i.e. FSH, LH and oestradiol, are determined.
On the other hand, an anti-Müllerian hormone evaluation is also performed to establish the woman's ovarian reserve, which can give us an idea of the likelihood of achieving pregnancy.
