20th week pregnancy scan report abbreviations

Hello dr, let’s see if you can help… I had my 20 week scan a few days ago and i found out that i’m pregnant with a wonderful boy, which is amazing 😀
However, i got my scan report and it’s full of abbreviations that i don’t understand i can’t find the meaning of them, my dr didn’t give me a hint or clue about their meaning… So i came across this forum where i found another thread talking about acronyms and perhaps you are able to help me out? some of the abbreviations are BPD, Os, AC, HC, FL, TCD, NT and so on…

Thanks for your message! The following is the meaning of the pregnancy abbreviations you’ve mentioned:

BPD = Biparietal diameter
Os = Opening of the cervix into the body of the uterus.
AC = Abdominal circumference
HC = Head Circumference
FL = Femur length
TCD = Transcerebellar diameter
NT = Nuchal translucency

Other common abbreviations that appear on pregnancy ultrasound reports include: NF (nuchal fold), CM (cisterna magna), OA (occiput anterior), ROL (right occiput lateral), etc.
