How bad is constipation for embryo implantation?

    Hello there,

I usually suffer from constipation on a daily basis. 3 days ago was my frozen embryo transfer using donated embryos… The thing is, whenever I go to the toilet I’m afraid of straining because maybe I can prevent my embryo from implanting, or maybe they can fall out, or whatever. I usually apply force whenever I go to the toilet, so I’m used to it. Can bowel movement cause embryo transfer loss? What do you recommend?

  2. Hello,

Neither constipation nor bowel movements when defecating can have a negative impact on embryo implantation after IVF embryo transfer. However, my advice is that you ask your doctor for detailed instructions, as constipation itself can turn out to be an inconvenience, or even an issue affecting your lifestyle.

I hope I have been able to help,

    Regards
