Diseases linked to X chromosome with a dominant inheritance are most common in females than in males, since it can always appear in women with at least one X chromosome damaged.
The chances for a sick woman to pass the disease to offspring are:
- 25% of having a healthy son
- 25% of having a healthy daughter
- 25% of having a sick son
- 25% of having a sick daughter
