In Spain, the gamete (egg and sperm) donation process is anonymous. Therefore, the egg donor will not know the identity of the recipient and vice versa. However, the recipient will be able to receive basic information from the donor such as age (but not identity).
Thus, in order to guarantee the anonymity of the donation, it is the medical team that will assign the most suitable egg donor to the recipient.
