If the patient has a thrombophilias problem or some alteration of the immune system, embryo implantation could also be affected. Maternal immunotolerance is essential for the embryo (which can be considered as foreign tissue) to be able to implant.
Thus, the specialist must evaluate in a personalized way if he/she considers it convenient to perform any additional test to rule out these problems.
