In order to evaluate the fertilization potential of a semen sample, it has to be collected and provided to a laboratory, where the team of specialists will conduct a type of test called semen analysis or seminogram.
Firstly, they do a macroscopic analysis, in which the semen volume is determined. If it is below 1.5 ml, hypospermia will be diagnosed.
