Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a diagnostic test that helps to identify possible alterations in the woman's cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes. Examples include the following:
- Cervix
- narrow or wide cervix, duplication of the cervix due to uterine malformation, polyps, etc.
- Uterus
- structural malformations of the uterus, myomas, endometrial polyps, synechiae, etc.
- Fallopian tubes
- salpingitis, hydrosalpinx, endometriosis, etc.
