A pregnancy is a special state in a woman's body. When a woman is pregnant, her body is in charge of taking care of a developing baby for 9 months. For this reason, the immune system of the woman has a natural mechanism that becomes active in order not to attack the fetus.
Changes in the immune system of the mother-to-be to adapt to pregnancy occur thanks to the HLA-G Antigen released by the fetus itself.
