When a couple has been looking for a pregnancy for some time and it does not happen, they should go to an assisted reproduction clinic. The specialists will request various tests to find the origin of the infertility.
In the case of the woman, the study of the woman will consist of an ultrasound and tests to evaluate the concentration of certain hormones. In addition, a count of the antral follicles will be performed.
Based on the results obtained, it is possible that a low ovarian reserve may be diagnosed. This means that the number of eggs available in the woman is reduced and therefore pregnancy has not been achieved in a natural way.
