Advanced reproductive age is one of the main causes of low ovarian response. As can be seen in the graph, the probability of low response increases in patients with advanced maternal age (> 40 years).
There are other methods to predict low response to ovarian stimulation in a woman. One of them is to monitor serum levels of hormones such as FSH, estradiol, inhibin B or AMH by blood test.
