Period clots are usually produced when menstrual bleeding is heavy. Therefore, it is more common that these clots appear in the first days of menstruation, when there is more bleeding.
This type of clots can be considered normal and should not worry the woman. However, it would be necessary to consult a specialist if the clots occur frequently, are large or are accompanied by symptoms such as heavy bleeding, pain or fatigue.
