Some doctors prescribe specific medications to remove the remaining tissue in the uterus after a miscarriage, mainly with the purpose of preventing infections. Sometimes, these medications can cause nausea as a side effect.
Another option after a miscarriage, as one shall see in the picture, is performing a dilation & curettage (D&C). It allows the specialist to scratch the uterine walls and remove the tissue that is still remaining in the womb.
