One of the first symptoms of molar pregnancy is dark vaginal bleeding that is not accompanied by pain. The woman should see a specialist promptly and an ultrasound will be performed. Through this imaging test, the doctor will be able to see if the uterus has an abnormal size or if there is an enlargement of the ovaries. It will also determine if the fetus has a heartbeat. In addition, there are other complementary tests to confirm the diagnosis.
