Oligospermia or oligozoospermia is a decrease in the concentration of sperm in the ejaculate. This seminal alteration can have different causes. Depending on the reason, oligozoospermia may or may not be reversible.
For example, if the decrease in the quantity of spermatozoa in the ejaculate is caused by genetic problems, atrophy of the seminiferous tubules or by other pathologies, it cannot be reversed. On the other hand, if the oligospermia is derived from a hormonal imbalance, it would be reversible.
