Oligospermia equals having a low sperm count in the ejaculated semen. It can be classified into three levels according to its severity: mild, moderate, and severe.
If a man has moderate teratozoospermia, it means that his sperm count ranges between 5 and 1 million sperm per ml. In that case, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) would be required to achieve a pregnancy, unless the normal sperm count were recovered with a hormone-balancing therapy.
