One way to study the possible effect of ovarian stimulation on embryo quality is to compare different stimulation protocols.
The results of the studies that have made this comparison suggest that the proportion of chromosomally normal embryos is lower with higher doses of gonadotropins. In addition, lower doses of gonadotropins are associated with better embryo quality.
However, more studies are needed to support the benefit of gentle ovarian stimulation over conventional ovarian stimulation.
