Before starting in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, the patient must go through an ovarian stimulation phase. This process consists of the administration of hormonal drugs to achieve multiple follicular development in the ovaries. However, this medication can cause symptoms such as the following:
- Abdominal swelling.
- Weight gain.
- Mood swings.
- A feeling of pressure in the ovaries.
In addition, bruising at the injection site may also be common.
