Pregnancy also brings about some physiological changes at the musculoskeletal level. As the volume of the abdomen increases, the woman must change her posture to compensate and maintain balance and, therefore, there is a change in the center of gravity.
In addition, relaxin is a hormone that prepares the woman for the enlargement of the uterus and for childbirth, making the joints and ligaments of the pelvis more relaxed and lax. However, the pregnant woman may notice some instability.
